In short. Your aim, statement, plan, recordings and reflections are yours. We store them so the app works across your devices and we send only what is needed to the named service providers below. We do not sell your data and we do not use it to train AI models. You can delete your account and all of its data from inside the app at any time.
1. Who we are
SYNTHARON ("SYNTHARON," "we," "us") is the publisher of the SYNTHARON application for iPhone and Apple Watch (the "App") and of this website (the "Site"). The legal entity, registered address and contact details will be completed before the App is released publicly. For privacy questions, write to privacy@syntharon.com.
SYNTHARON is independent of, and not affiliated with or endorsed by, the Napoleon Hill Foundation.
2. This website
The Site sets no cookies and loads no analytics, advertising or third-party scripts. It collects information in exactly two cases:
- Waitlist. If you submit the waitlist form, we store the email address you enter, the page you submitted it from and a timestamp, in our database (Supabase). We use it only to send you a TestFlight invitation and, at most, a small number of launch updates. You can ask us to remove it at any time.
- Practice page. The purpose statement you write on the practice page is stored only in your browser's local storage on your device. It is never sent to us. "Clear my data" on that page removes it, as does clearing your browser's site data.
Our hosting provider (GitHub Pages) may process ordinary technical access logs such as IP address and user agent under its own privacy terms.
3. What the App collects
Account
You sign in with Sign in with Apple. We receive a stable, app-specific identifier from Apple and, if you choose to share it, your name and an email address (which may be Apple's private relay address). We do not receive your Apple ID password.
Content you create
Your Definite Chief Aim and its deadline, your statement and signature image, your voice recording of the statement, your plan (sub-aims, milestones, actions, if-then triggers), Forge session records and "what moved" lines, Evidence Vault entries, Principle Scorecard ratings, journal and reflection text, ideas captured in the Imagination Lab, self-analysis results, and the settings you choose (including accountability intensity and ritual times).
Usage and progress
Lesson completion, streaks, Forge Hours, recitation verification results (a match percentage, not a transcript), ranks and ceremony unlocks, and product analytics events described in section 5.
Social
If you invite an accountability partner or join a Mastermind group: your membership, the parts of your aim and progress you choose to share, group chat messages and voice notes, meeting attendance, and the commitments recorded from meetings.
Purchases
Your subscription status and entitlements, through Apple and RevenueCat. We never see your payment card.
Diagnostics
Crash reports and performance data, including device model, OS version and the state of the app at the time of a crash.
4. How we use it
- To provide the App: sync your content across devices, run the daily ritual, track your progress and deliver the Path.
- To provide AI features you use, as described in section 6.
- To run accountability features you enable: notifications, partner and group sharing according to your settings.
- To process subscriptions and the free trial.
- To understand how the App is used in aggregate, fix crashes and improve it.
- To keep the App safe: moderation of group content, handling reports and blocks, and preventing abuse.
- To communicate with you about your account, and, with your consent where required, about the App.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use your content to train AI models and our providers are contractually prevented from doing so. We do not show advertising.
5. Service providers
We use a small number of providers to run the App. Each receives only what is needed for its role and processes it on our instructions.
| Provider | Role | What it receives |
|---|---|---|
| Apple | Sign in with Apple, App Store, in-app purchases, push notifications, TestFlight | Account identifier; purchase records; device push token |
| Supabase | Authentication, database, file storage, realtime chat | Your account and all content described in section 3, encrypted in transit and at rest |
| Anthropic | AI coaching (Ignimani), the Council, plan generation, meeting notes | The text of your conversations and the relevant parts of your Dossier, sent through our server, without your name or account identifier |
| ElevenLabs | Voice synthesis for narration, Ignimani and counselors; speech-to-text for meeting transcription | Text to be spoken; meeting audio only when all participants have consented |
| LiveKit | Video and audio for Mastermind meetings, the AI Facilitator, optional recording | Meeting media streams; recordings only with consent |
| RevenueCat | Subscription management | An anonymous app user identifier and App Store receipt data |
| PostHog | Product analytics | Pseudonymous usage events (for example "forge_session_completed"), never the text of your aim, statement, plan or conversations |
| Sentry | Crash and error reporting | Crash stack traces, device and OS information, app state; we scrub personal content before sending |
| GitHub | Hosting for this website | Technical access logs |
6. AI features
Ignimani and the Council of Invisible Counselors are AI personas. When you use them, the text of your conversation and the relevant parts of your Dossier (your aim, statement, plan, recent evidence and reflections) are sent through SYNTHARON's own server to Anthropic, which generates the reply. Requests are sent without your name or account identifier. Anthropic processes this data under terms that prohibit using it to train models and retain it only briefly for abuse monitoring.
Conversation history is stored in your account so you can return to it. You can delete individual conversations or all AI history in Settings. Counselors are inspired by historical figures and are not those people; see About the AI.
Optional AI features that read your own writing, such as the alibi detector, are off until you turn them on.
7. Mastermind groups and meetings
- Groups are invite-only. Other members see what you choose to share: your aim (optional), streak, Forge hours and commitments.
- Meetings run over LiveKit. Media is encrypted in transit. We do not record a meeting unless the host enables recording and every participant accepts a clear on-screen consent prompt when joining. If anyone declines, the meeting runs without recording; AI notes from the live transcript are only produced if everyone agrees to that too.
- Recordings, when made, are stored in our Supabase Storage and are available to the group's members. The group owner can delete them.
- The AI Facilitator, when enabled for a meeting, joins as a visible participant. Its notes, summaries and commitments are shared with every member of the group.
- Group messages pass through an automated moderation check. Reported content is reviewed by a person. You can report and block any member or message.
8. On-device data and Apple features
- Speech recognition for Proof of Recitation runs on your device with Apple's frameworks. Your voice is not sent to us for recitation; we store only a match percentage.
- Microphone is used for recording your statement, voice notes, idea capture and meetings, only when you start those actions.
- Camera is used only for video meetings.
- Notifications and AlarmKit schedule your rituals and reminders. You control them in Settings and iOS Settings.
- Calendar access, if granted, is used to add group meetings to your iOS Calendar.
- Motion, if granted, lets the Idea Walk feature detect that you are walking.
- HealthKit is strictly opt-in and off by default; if enabled, mindfulness minutes from Forge sessions are written to Health. HealthKit data is never shared with third parties or used for advertising.
- Siri, Shortcuts, widgets and Apple Watch process data on your devices through Apple's frameworks.
9. Retention and deletion
We keep your content for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account from inside the App (Settings → Account → Delete account). Deletion removes your profile, content, recordings, AI conversation history, group memberships and messages you authored from our systems within 30 days, apart from records we must keep for legal or accounting reasons (for example purchase records held by Apple) and content you posted into a group that other members have already received, which is anonymized.
Waitlist emails are deleted when the beta ends or on request. Crash reports are retained by Sentry for 90 days. Analytics events are pseudonymous and retained for up to 12 months.
10. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, restrict or delete your personal information, to object to certain processing, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Most of these you can do yourself in the App: export your data, delete conversations, change sharing settings, or delete your account. For anything else, email privacy@syntharon.com.
We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising within the meaning of US state privacy laws. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, our legal bases are performance of our contract with you, your consent (for optional features such as HealthKit, recording and analytics where required) and our legitimate interests in keeping the App safe and improving it.
11. Children
SYNTHARON is for adults and is rated accordingly on the App Store. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16 (or the age of digital consent in your country). If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Security
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to your content in our database is governed by row-level security so that only you, and the group members you have chosen to share with, can read it. AI and voice requests go through our server so provider keys never live on your device. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach affecting you, we will notify you as the law requires.
13. International transfers
Our providers operate primarily in the United States. Where your data is transferred from the EEA, UK or Switzerland, we rely on standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards.
14. Changes and contact
We will post any changes to this policy here and, for material changes, tell you in the App before they take effect. Questions: privacy@syntharon.com.
This policy is a draft prepared for review before the App's public release. Entity details, effective date and jurisdiction-specific notices will be completed at launch.
